Experiments are prototypes for tax-learning surfaces. They live here so you can try them, but they're not part of the audited tool — numbers are illustrative and source data is simplified. The audited tool lives at /tool/; experiments are where ideas earn that audit, or get cut.

  A live break-down of where a 2026 paycheck goes. Toggle income tier, state, and filing status; FICA, federal, state PIT, and take-home recompute as you move. The picture sits in tax structure, not in app screens — what you owe and to whom, in plain shape.

• Tax Run 2026 v4 game

  A fixed-shooter where every enemy is a tax form. W-9 drifts past once; Schedule SE takes three hits like a calculator filling in; Form 1040 is the 12-HP boss. The "explain my score" panel cites the IRS rule behind every filing you make. Pick IL, CA, or NY to add state-flavored enemies (CA-540 in a golden seal, IL-1040 with a flat-rate stripe, NY-IT-201 in subway-tile blue). Add ?debug=1 to the URL for the test hook.

  A small figure whose body, face, halos, and accessories encode ten facts about a tax life — worker class, filing status, state, FICA proximity, §1411 zone, quarter, compliance, pending forms. URL-param shareable, so a buddy travels with the link.

• Daily tax puzzle drill

  One scenario a day, four answers, one cited IRS rule. Reveal explains the rule in plain language; a 7-cell streak grid measures week-over-week recognition. Same puzzle for everyone, swap at midnight UTC, shareable as a Wordle-style block — recognition is what we're trying to grow.
